I love anything that gets items off the counter and is still easy to access for everyday use. Other then the drilling this DIY is quite simple. I wish I would have spent time searching for fun antique mason jars but I wanted to get this project done before the big move to my apartment so I bought these at Walmart.
Marterials
- 4 Mason jars
- 4 Hose clamps
- 4 Screws
- A board
- Stain/paint
- Ruler
- Hammer
- Pliers
- Paint brush
Stain/paint the board. Then measure the board into 4 separate sections and mark where you want the screw for each jar to be.
Screw the hose clamp onto the jar and mark where you want to make the hole for the screw. Remove the hose clamp from the jar and use a drill to make a hole in the clamp in order to easily drill the clamp onto the board.
Screw the hose clamps onto the board. The easiest thing to do if the screw sticks out the back of the board is to hit the back of the nail that is sticking out with a hammer up and then hit it down. Next take pliers and twist it back and forth until it falls off. Once the hose clamps are in place you can tighten them around the jars.
